Order the first birthday story
Tell us your child's name, age, what made them proud this year, and anyone to include. Sprig writes a 10-page story from scratch. Read it free, then keep it if you love it.
We send the birthday questionnaire each year
A few weeks before their next birthday, we send six quick questions by email — the one brave thing they did, their new favourite, a funny moment. Takes two minutes to fill in.
Sprig remembers
Each new story picks up a thread from the last — a detail, a running joke, a moment Sprig witnessed. Not a sequel, not a template. A story that could only be written for this child, this year.
A shelf that means something
Digital copies to read on any device. Optional hardcovers to line up on the shelf. By age eight, that's up to six books — each one a time capsule of exactly who they were that year.

Age 3
The first story
Sprig appears for the first time. Something wonderful happens. The child is exactly three.
Age 4
Sprig remembers
The new story opens with Sprig recalling something from last year. A new adventure begins, with the same small sprout who was there at the start.
Age 5
Starting school
If they start school this year, Sprig notices. The stories reflect the real shape of their life — not a generic childhood, theirs.
Age 6–8
A character they grew up with
By now Sprig is an old friend. The child might read the earlier books to younger siblings and notice how much has changed. That is the whole point.

Common questions

Do I have to commit to every year?: No. Each story is a one-off purchase. The questionnaire email is an invitation, not an obligation. If you skip a year, Sprig just picks up wherever you left off.
What if my child is already older than three?: Start now. The first story sets the scene for wherever you join — the collection begins the year you begin it.
Can I get the questionnaire email for a child whose birthday isn't for months?: Yes — order the first birthday story now and we'll send the questionnaire a few weeks before each subsequent birthday. You set the pace.
What's the price each year?: Each story is £7.99 as a digital download. Hardcovers start at £24.99. There is no subscription — you choose whether to continue each year.
